BES Utilities is proud to be named in the 2018 London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 companies to Inspire Britain report.
The fifth edition of the report (May 2018) identifies the UK’s fastest growing and most dynamic SMEs (small to medium-sized enterprises).
BES Utilities continues to grow in the non-domestic gas and electricity supply market and we recently announced the creation of more than 50 new jobs at our Fleetwood, Lancashire, base.
The 2018 London Stock Exchange Group’s report shows North West companies are the fastest growing in the UK with 232% average annual revenue growth, compared with the UK national average of 71%.
BES founder and chairman Andy Pilley said: “The report shows the strength and diversity of innovative businesses here in the North West.
“We are proud of our Lancashire roots and delighted to have grown a successful UK-wide business here on the Fylde coast.
“We continue to invest in our staff, products and customer services and, with our recent commitment to creating more than 50 new jobs, we will continue to grow.
“BES Utilities pledge to continue to challenge the UK’s ‘Big Six’ energy companies by offering our customers a range of new and innovative supply and tariff options.”
Nikhil Rathi, London Stock Exchange chief executive, said: “We warmly congratulate all of the companies identified in this year’s ‘1000 companies to Inspire Britain’ report.
“Five years on, the report continues to demonstrate the strength and diversity of British businesses across the country.
“These dynamic companies are the backbone of our economy, playing an important role in the UK’s ability to innovate, export and grow.
“With North West companies growing at more than three times the national average, it is testament to the entrepreneurial spirit and economic and job creating potential of companies from the region.”
