Over the last month, there has been some facial-hair fundraising taking place at BES Utilities, as members of our team got together to raise money for Movember 2014. We are proud to say that it has been a huge success: a variety of moustaches have been grown, many laughs had, and, most importantly, money has been raised for some very worthy causes.
At BES Utilities, we are happy to support the Movember Foundation, which challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November!), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programmes. The Movember community has raised £346 million to date and funded over 800 programmes in 21 countries.
As you can see, some masterpieces have been grown here at BES Utilities!
Senior Credit Manager and Movember organiser, Marcus Cook, said, “The gents took pride in their moustaches and enjoyed the experience, we have all pledged to do this next year as it is a great charity doing great work”.
“At BES, we love getting together to do our bit for a worthy cause, and this was no exception. Supported by our friends and colleagues we raised a fantastic amount for Movember this year and I’ll definitely be getting involved next time!”, said Chris Bird, Project Co-ordinator (AKA Swiss Toni during the month of Movember!).
The Movember gang managed to raise the fantastic total of £639.50, which we will look to beat next year.
